This month we have been learning about the seasons. Fall colors, Winter activities, Spring flowers and Summer fun! From creating collages, playing marshmallow snowball fights, popcorn trees and ice cream making-- we enjoyed exploring the seasons and all that they provide! Here is one craft we made: yarn snowballs (closest we can get to a snowball here in AZ).

Fairy Tale Fun
In September we really enjoyed our unit on Fairy Tales. Your child was able to retell and act out the various stories doing puppet shows, plays, crafts, etc... It was quickly apparent those who will be superstars in their future!

Ocean Environment
We started our unit on Animals and environments last week with the Ocean. This was perfect because our 3 year old class was also focusing on the letter O-- so we painted the ocean and then made oysters and octopus to go with it. The 4 year old class made jellyfish. Both classes made personal aquariums with a variety of fish. They all turned out adorable. The kids loved painting, gluing, cutting and creating their environment. They were a little disappointed they couldn't take home their creations, but are now proud to have their work displayed for everyone to see. Check out our beautiful ocean scene!

Christmas Program
I was so proud of your child for their excellent job in the Christmas program. They did such a great job remembering their lines, singing the songs and acting out the story of Jesus. I only took one picture of the students at the end. If anyone has more they would like to share, I would love to add them.
Dinosaur Dig
In November we studied about dinosaurs. One of our projects was letting every student be a paleontologist and dig for dinosaur bones. Here are some pictures of your scientist at work.

Here you can see our first bone that we discovered. If you click on the other pictures you will see more and more bones being discovered. The students were fascinating by all the fossils they found and were so careful to not damage the bones. They were fantastic paleontologists!
